Double Life: On the wall

This pix is amazing, it´s not mine, I couldn´t find the author but wow!

A/N: This is kinda short but I like it

Nichole stood in front of her opened window feeling the cold wind and listening to the distant rain that was showering the woods. It advanced in seconds towards Burgeoys. A tiny smile touched her lips. She moved to her desk and sat taking her drawing pad and pencils.

She looked at her window for a moment breathing the cold, moist air and closing her eyes for a second, the tiny smile went back to her lips and she started to make thin pale lines that quickly became a pair of eyes, eyes that her mind knew were going to be painted green, as green as the forest that now was being watered by the dark sky.

Unfinished that first draft was put away and the pencils directed by Nichole´s hand started a new one. As the lines were done making the body of a boy looking up the sky with his hands on the fence of a building she decided that this one was going to be stripped of color but the theme was not dark and by no means it meant it was a sad one, melancholic maybe, but not sad, she smiled to herself and continued drafting.

Twigs and the moist ground covered with leaves made a squish noise under the pressure of a light weight. The rain had ceased a few hours ago but the soil hadn´t had time to drink it all. It was dark. Nichole walked between the thin white fogg that hugged the forest, she´d just came back from one of her missions, she hated being the monster but being hugged by the forest was cleansing for her. The girl sat on the humid stone wall that limited the school grounds from the woods. Her raincoat avoiding that her pants got wet.

Nichole saw the sky turn from black to dark blue and then to gray, she closed her eyes and breathed slowly, inhaling the cold air. As the sun started to tint orange the sky, the birds started their song, quietly first, only the early risers sang but when the orange covered the sky like a sloppy painting of a brush, more and more birds welcomed the day, thanking heavens for the sun. The girl sighed as she pondered. Just think about it were the words that kept sounding inside her head. She was thinking about it and wavering, she´d never taken back a decision. Hesitating could mean dying or being discovered. That was something that she couldn´t allow to happen but she was on the fence in this one. The girl chuckled humorlessly. “I’m on the wall” she mumbled to herself jumping off of the wall and slowly walking back to her room, purposely taking the longest way.

  1. That ending about being on the wall was poignant. It made a lot of sense for what is going on with her now. How she's questioning her life until now and how she's feeling more like a girl than usual. It's like she's in the middle of her tale.

That second drawing with no color was so wonderfully described. No colors just the body of a boy and the lines was so nice after thinking of a picture where she saw the colors. It actually makes me think of Josh when I read over both of those sketches. The first one is like how stubborn and opinionated Josh can be somehow and the second one was how understated he can be because he kinda sits on the sidelines takes things in.
Phew. When it comes to him I dig to deep. Haha I see all these things. Just fanning my fan girl flames. Sorry that was so long.

My phone is being stupid with this comment section so ignore that line at the bottom. It won't let me click there to finish the sentence. But my favorite part in the beginning was the rain coming closer to the school. It was like how I imagine Nic with her cat walk. Creeping closer and bringing good and bad things to people.

That picture is GORGEOUS! Love it lots
    My favorite part was
